Kabuki (歌舞伎 kabuki) is a classical Japanese dance-drama. Kabuki theatre is known for the stylization of its drama and for the elaborate make-up worn by some of its performers. The individual kanji characters, from left to right, mean sing (歌), dance (舞), and skill (伎). Kabuki is therefore sometimes translated as "the art of singing and dancing." (from Wikipedia)

what do you use for your white parts? I'm struggling with different powders and liquids, cause they're not thick enough O:

I used kryolan aqua colors in white and red for this particular piece :) yeah, I hear you about that. You need to be carefull while applying it :)

Very cool.
Love Kabuki Makeup it is very sensual and you did a great job bringing the perfect lines and super strong color contrasts kabuki is known for.
Good Job!

So beautiful...
I did a Kabuki theme once, but instead of the "Hero" red... I used a "Ghost" blue, but painted it along the lines of a "Hero" design.

I love how smooth this looks.
For me, it was the first time really painting my face, and I layered everything too thick. At the end of the day it all looked cracked and broken... which I guess fit the Ghost theme, but didn't really look authentic in any way.

Your body art is inspiring.

It can happen sometimes :( I think it's always important to learn from our mistakes, I'm learning from mine a lot :) It's the only way to really improve: try, fail or win, learn :)
